Abbottabad Jamil Akhtar Tanoli, founder chairman of Hazara Electric Supply Company Wapda Hydro Union, has filed a writ in the Abbottabad bench of Peshawar High Court, Abbottabad bench, for approval of other demands, including relief in bills and royalty of dams like in Kashmir. The writ filed through the mediation of renowned lawyer Haji Sabir Tanoli includes the demands of the company’s board director from Hazara, local recruitment from Scale 1 to 16, electricity quota, relief in bills and royalty of dams. In this regard, Jamil Akhtar Tanoli said that as long as he has breath, he will not back down from the struggle to make Hazara Electric Supply Company fully functional and to provide real relief to Hazara consumers.
He has emphasized that the director of the board of Hazara Company should be from Hazara so that all decisions can be taken from here. The people of Hazara get royalty from the dams and so they do not have to pay electricity bills like in Kashmir. Relief can be provided. Similarly, recruitment at the local level will provide employment opportunities to the youth. After the company’s establishment, the people of Hazara should get an electricity quota to get relief from load shedding. A constitutional struggle is needed to achieve all these rights, for which a writ has been filed in the High Court.
