KARACHI: England batter James Vince is set to join Peshawar Zalmi for the remainder of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 11, with franchise owner Javed Afridi confirming his arrival on Monday.

Afridi announced the development on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, welcoming the right-handed batter to the squad. Vince, who was selected by the 2017 champions during the players’ auction in February for Rs30 million, had missed Zalmi’s first five matches, leading to uncertainty about his availability for the ongoing eight-team tournament.

Boost for table-topping Zalmi

Vince’s inclusion is expected to strengthen Peshawar Zalmi’s batting lineup as the team currently leads the PSL 11 standings with nine points from five matches. Zalmi are scheduled to face second-placed Multan Sultans at the National Bank Stadium.

Proven PSL performer

The 35-year-old has been one of the most consistent overseas players in PSL history, having represented Karachi Kings, Quetta Gladiators, and Multan Sultans across eight editions of the tournament.
