Former Pakistani actor Jamal Shah has denied allegations of domestic violence made by his former wife, actress Faryal Gohar, saying that, according to his account, her pregnancy was lost after a dog bite rather than as a result of violence.
Jamal Shah addressed the claims in several posts on X, saying the couple married in 1984, experienced the pregnancy loss in 1985, lived in London from 1986 to 1988 while he studied at the Slade School of Fine Art, and divorced in 1989. The claims made by both sides have not been independently verified.

Actor Explains TV Interview
In another post, Shah said he had never spoken negatively about Faryal Gohar in interviews. He said he had been invited to appear on a programme but was not initially told that Gohar would also be present.
Shah said his marriage to Gohar lasted about five years and that he had no regrets or bitterness over the relationship. According to him, they separated amicably and did not publicly discuss their divorce for some time.
He reiterated that he had never subjected Gohar to violence and said he did not intend to provide further details simply to fuel media or social media discussion.
