Jamaat-e-Islami Lower Dir organized a protest in Timergara against the target killing of Jamaat-e-Islami Bajaur’s General Secretary, Hamid Sufi. The protesters demanded the immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of the culprits.
During the demonstration, Jamaat-e-Islami Lower Dir’s Ameer Maulana Asadullah, General Secretary Yaqoob ur Rahman, former Ameer Izaz ul Mulk Afkari, and Secretary Information Shoaib Ahmad strongly condemned the target killing. They expressed deep anger and grief, stating that the government has failed to protect the lives and property of its citizens. A government unable to ensure public safety has no right to govern, they asserted.
They further criticized the global powers’ wars that result in the killing of innocent people, labeling such actions as cruelty and barbarity. They accused conspirators of destabilizing the peaceful situation in the Pashtun belt and specifically Malakand Division. They demanded the immediate arrest of Hamid Sufi’s killers and their punishment to the fullest extent of the law.
