Rahim Yar Khan — To raise educational standards to international levels, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) organized a training workshop under the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Framework. The workshop focused on clear objectives and result-oriented educational programs. The initiative was led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran.
At the Rahim Yar Khan campus, Prof. Dr. Kamran delivered a special lecture to teachers, principals, and faculty of affiliated colleges. He compared outcome-based programs with traditional teaching methods. Moreover, he discussed the importance of purposeful teaching aligned with Higher Education Commission standards and global trends.
Prof. Dr. Kamran further stressed the need to provide students with clear, long-term, and measurable educational goals. He emphasized that affiliated colleges should maintain the same quality of teaching as the campus. Therefore, faculty members from affiliated colleges were invited to enhance their skills and adopt modern teaching practices.
Meanwhile, Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asadullah Madani, said the activity aimed to inform department heads about modern teaching approaches. In addition, he noted that the goal is to standardize IUB’s teaching system according to global trends. This initiative will ensure that students receive high-quality and internationally recognized education.
On this occasion, the President of the Private Colleges Association, Faisal Nadeem, appreciated the improvement in teaching standards. He also welcomed the launch of faculty training programs. Furthermore, Director of the Rahim Yar Khan Campus, Dr. Sohail Sharif, thanked the Vice Chancellor for visiting and providing specialized lectures and training.
