In the Kolkata fixture, Italy captain Wayne Madsen won the toss and opted to field first against Scotland.
Italy qualified for the tournament by finishing second in the T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier. Madsen said the team’s training camps in Dubai and Chennai had prepared them well for the global stage.
The Mosca brothers, Anthony and Justin, will open the batting, while the Manenti brothers, Harry and Ben, are set to bat at numbers five and six.
