Following recent Israeli attacks, a defense tunnel is being constructed in Tehran.
According to local media reports, the decision comes after Israel targeted various sites in the country. The tunnel in the city center will connect a Tehran Metro station to Imam Khomeini Hospital, allowing underground access to the hospital.
The report further mentioned that the head of Tehran City Council’s transport department stated that, for the first time in the country’s history, a tunnel is being constructed from a defensive perspective.
It is worth noting that last month, Israel carried out a formally acknowledged attack on Iran, targeting missile factories and other buildings near Tehran. These strikes were in response to Iran’s missile attacks on Israel on October 1st.
