ISLAMABAD, October 11, 2026: Poor maintenance at a multi-purpose sports ground in Islamabad has raised concerns over the condition of public recreational facilities managed under the Capital Development Authority’s broader civic responsibilities.

The ground provides space for activities including basketball, jogging and mini-football, but several areas are in need of better upkeep.

Overgrown vegetation, litter and neglected sections around the facility have affected its overall condition, while basic supporting facilities also require attention.

The washroom area is among the parts of the ground showing signs of poor maintenance and damage.

As Islamabad’s civic authority, CDA is responsible for maintaining public spaces and urban facilities across the capital, including recreational areas used by residents.

The condition of the ground has highlighted the need for regular cleaning, timely repairs and proper maintenance so that the facility can continue to serve residents in a suitable environment.

The ground remains an important recreational space, particularly for young people, but improved upkeep would help ensure that the facility remains clean, functional and accessible.
