Islamabad: The Islamabad Police Digital Facilitation Van visited Rehman Enclave to provide a wide range of police services directly to residents, making essential public services more accessible, transparent, and convenient.
Speaking on the occasion, Islamabad Police Officer Ms. Nazia said the Digital Facilitation Van was introduced to deliver key police services at citizens’ doorsteps, reducing the need for people to visit police offices. She said the initiative saves both time and travel expenses while promoting a more citizen-friendly policing system.
She said the mobile unit offers numerous digital services, including learner driving permits, driving licence renewals, duplicate driving licences, character certificates, tenant registration, domestic servant registration, lost document reporting, police verification, copies of FIRs, and complaint registration. All services are provided through a fully digital system to ensure efficiency and transparency.
Ms. Nazia said every resident of Islamabad can benefit from the initiative, particularly senior citizens, women, students, and people living in areas far from police service centres.
She added that Islamabad Police regularly publishes the weekly schedule of the Digital Facilitation Vans on its official website and social media platforms, enabling citizens to locate the nearest service point with ease.
Encouraging the public to take advantage of the facility, Ms. Nazia urged citizens to cooperate with Islamabad Police and make full use of the digital services being offered. She said the initiative reflects the department’s commitment to providing quick, transparent, and efficient public service while strengthening trust between the police and the community.
Residents of Rehman Enclave appreciated the initiative, saying the doorstep service makes it easier to access essential police facilities without travelling to police offices.
