Islamabad Industrial Association vows to resolve industrial issues under Umais Khattak

Islamabad (PR): Newly elected President of the Islamabad Industrial Association, Umais Khattak, has said that his mission is to resolve issues faced by the industrial area and promote the growth of the industrial sector. He thanked the industry for its trust and support in electing him as president.

According to details, President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Atif Ikram Sheikh, attended the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected office-bearers of the Islamabad Industrial Association as chief guest and administered the oath.

The ceremony was also attended by Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Tourism Sardar Yasir Ilyas and prominent members of the business community. The FPCCI president congratulated the newly elected leadership, including President Umais Khattak, Senior Vice President Aamir Hussain, Vice President Mian Arif Hussain, and the entire executive body. He termed the Islamabad Industrial Association an important body and assured full cooperation from the federation.

Atif Ikram Sheikh also highlighted the challenges faced by Pakistan’s industrial sector and expressed commitment to resolving them. He stressed that urgent steps, including a reduction in interest rates, are necessary for the revival of the industrial sector, which he described as the backbone of the country’s economy. He added that the federation is working with the government to address these issues and that the development of industrial areas remains a priority.
