Islamabad Orders Temporary Closure of Walking and Hiking Trails on August 13

The Islamabad District Magistrate has issued a notification ordering the closure of several walking and hiking trails in the capital on August 13, 2026.

According to the notification, Trails 2, 3, 4 and 5 will remain closed to the public on August 13.

A trail located behind Saidpur Village will also remain closed on the same day.

The District Magistrate has directed the relevant departments and police authorities to take the necessary measures to implement the closure.

Copies of the notification have been sent to the Inspector General of Police, the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and other concerned officials.

The Islamabad Wildlife Management Board and the CDA have also been informed about the temporary closure of the trails.

Visitors have been advised to follow the official restrictions and avoid using the affected trails during the closure period.
