MUMBAI: Indian actor and model Isha Rikhi has spoken publicly for the first time since her reported separation from rapper Badshah, describing the period as the “worst time” of her life.
In an interview with Indian media ahead of her reported entry into Bigg Boss 20, Rikhi said she had deliberately avoided discussing her private life and relationship with Badshah publicly for a long time.
She said she wanted to protect the person she loved and their relationship, which was why she chose not to discuss their personal matters with the media.
According to Rikhi, however, she was being presented with a different version of the situation by the rapper, which she later felt did not reflect reality.
Recalling the difficult period, Rikhi said she repeatedly questioned herself and wondered how she could have been “so foolish,” describing the experience as the worst phase of her life.
When asked directly whether she felt betrayed in the relationship, she responded that she did not merely feel betrayed but believed that she had been betrayed.
Her remarks come days after reports emerged confirming the separation between Rikhi and Badshah.
Badshah has so far not publicly responded to Rikhi’s recent allegations.
