Iranian media claims UAE has joined war against Iran

Tehran: Iranian state media has claimed that the United Arab Emirates has joined the ongoing conflict against Iran, though the assertion has not been independently verified.

According to Iran’s state broadcaster IRIB, the claim was shared through a post on the social media platform X, stating that two documents have been obtained as evidence of the UAE’s alleged involvement.

The report cited the destruction of a Chinese Wing Loong-2 drone on April 1 — reportedly operated only by Saudi Arabia and the UAE — and the flight of a UAE Mirage 2000 fighter jet over Iran’s Jask Island on March 22 as indicators of participation in the conflict.

However, the claims have not been confirmed by independent media sources, and there has been no immediate response from the United Arab Emirates.
