Islamabad — The Iranian ambassador to Pakistan has strongly rejected allegations circulating about the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, describing them as fabricated and part of a disinformation campaign.

In a statement, the envoy said the claims were “false and ridiculous,” adding that such propaganda efforts were aimed at compensating for failures following the recent 12‑day conflict. He emphasized that Iranian soldiers and commanders had defended their homeland with courage and sacrifice, underscoring the role of the Supreme Leader as Commander‑in‑Chief standing alongside the people and security forces.

The ambassador urged Pakistani media outlets and professionals to rely on credible sources and exercise caution in verifying information, warning against what he termed “digital terrorism, misinformation, and ethical misconduct.” He stressed that responsible reporting was vital to maintaining the credibility and standing of journalism in Pakistan.

The statement concluded with an appeal for media diligence in an environment increasingly affected by disinformation campaigns.
