TEHRAN — Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has praised Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his stance on the ongoing regional conflict, as tensions continue across the Middle East.
In an official statement, Pezeshkian commended Erdogan’s position and highlighted Turkiye’s role in expressing support within the Muslim world. The remarks come amid continued diplomatic messaging between regional leaders during a period of escalating hostilities.
The Iranian president said both countries would continue to move forward in coordination, emphasizing shared positions on key regional issues.
The statement follows comments by Erdogan a day earlier, in which he said Turkiye would continue to use available resources to support peace efforts related to Iran. He also noted that the conflict has affected the wider region and that Ankara is taking steps to manage its economic impact.
Meanwhile, diplomatic signals continue to emerge alongside ongoing violence. The United States has indicated efforts to pursue a negotiated outcome, with President Donald Trump stating that Washington is engaged in talks with Iran, although no formal negotiations have been confirmed by Tehran.
At the same time, the conflict has seen continued military activity across multiple fronts. Recent incidents include missile strikes and escalating operations in parts of the region, contributing to broader instability.
The Strait of Hormuz remains a focal point, with Iran indicating that non-hostile vessels would be allowed passage, while tensions continue to affect global energy markets and regional security dynamics.
