DOHA — Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Tehran remains committed to peace in the Middle East but believes the conflict can only end if Iran’s rights are recognized, reparations are paid for war damage, and international guarantees prevent future attacks.
In a statement posted on the social platform X after talks with the leaders of Russia and Pakistan, Pezeshkian said Iran supports regional stability but expects concrete commitments from the United States and Israel to avoid further escalation.

The Iranian president said three conditions are necessary to end the conflict: recognition of Iran’s legitimate rights, compensation for damage caused during the war, and firm international guarantees against future aggression.
Pezeshkian said he reiterated this position during discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Pakistani leaders while emphasizing that Tehran remains open to a diplomatic resolution.
Russia confirmed that Putin and Pezeshkian spoke by phone on March 10 to discuss regional developments and the broader security situation.
The statement comes amid rising tensions in the Middle East, where diplomatic efforts are focused on preventing wider regional confrontation and encouraging negotiations between the parties involved.
