The central leadership of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Tehreek (IPT) has offered to mediate between the army and the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, stating that both parties are important for the country and must work together. During a press conference held on Sunday at the Timergara Rest House, the founder and chairman of IPT, Haji Muhammad Wasal Khan, Vice Chairman Malik Fazl Khaliq, Haji Saeed Khan (Advisor for Upper and Lower Dir), Haji Umar Khitab (Advisor for Malakand Division), and other leaders of the movement were present.
Haji Wasal Khan stated, “If the army is the guardian of the nation, then the founder of PTI is also a patriot.” He added that Imran Khan has never spoken against the army or Pakistan.

The movement’s leaders clarified that their struggle is not for acquiring power but for establishing peace and stability in the country. Wasal Khan emphasized that it is necessary to bring all political parties to the table for the sake of the nation. On this occasion, he also raised slogans in favor of all political parties. Istehkam-e-Pakistan Tehreek announced a determined effort to bridge the gap between the army and the people. The central leadership of the movement also announced that they would soon present their 34-year performance record before the media.Haji Wasal Khan firmly stated, “We will no longer tolerate oppression, injustice, and lawlessness in Pakistan.” He said, “A system based on disbelief may endure, but a system based on oppression cannot.According to sources, this offer of mediation by IPT could mark the beginning of a new chapter in the country’s political landscape. The movement stated that they are committed to bringing all parties closer for national stability and peace, and that the nation will soon hear good news in this regard, God willing.

Member of the Provincial Assembly and Dedak Chairman, Abdul Rehman, termed the provincial budget as public-friendly and appropriate. He stated that the provincial budget includes several multi-purpose development projects for the development of Lower Dir District.Speaking to media representatives, he said that the PTI-led provincial government has presented a public-friendly budget. Despite the federal government not giving the province its due share due to political bias, the provincial government has still managed to present a suitable budget despite financial constraints.
He said that several new development projects have been included for the Dir district in the provincial budget, with approval for significant funding. These include a longstanding demand of the youth – the establishment of a modern indoor sports complex in Jandol at a cost of 400 million rupees. Additionally, a 17-kilometer road from Mayar to Shahi, the multi-purpose Munda Bypass project costing 1.1 billion rupees, and the construction of the Mian Kale to Khambat road with funds of 774 million rupees are also approved.He further stated that under non-development allocations, Mayar and Samarbagh will be upgraded, and Rescue 1122 will be established. Apart from these, many small and large development projects have been included, which will usher in a new era of prosperity and development.He assured that the trust placed by the people will be honored, and God willing, the voices of the people of Dir will be truly represented on the assembly floor and within the government.

Malgaray Ustazan (Teachers’ Organization) has launched its membership drive in the Lower Dir district, which will continue until September 30. According to the district organizer and president, Irfan Takor, the purpose of this membership campaign is to unite teachers under a comprehensive and organized platform and to mobilize for the protection of teachers’ rights. He added that the membership drive will continue until September 30.
