INU vice chancellor receives Hamza Foundation appreciation award

Peshawar — Vice Chancellor of Iqra National University (INU) Dr. Malik Taimur Ali has received an appreciation award from the Hamza Foundation in recognition of the university’s support for humanitarian and welfare initiatives.

The award was conferred following the successful organization of a blood donation camp at INU Peshawar, arranged by the Hamza Foundation in collaboration with the university. The initiative was supported by Prof. Dr. Adil Adnan, Dean Faculty of Management and Social Sciences and Director INU Welfare Society, and Dr. Arshad Iqbal, Associate Professor at the School of Business Administration and Social Sciences and Deputy Director INU Welfare Society.

According to organizers, 65 student volunteers donated blood during the camp to support patients suffering from thalassemia, hemophilia, and other blood-related disorders. The collected blood will benefit 1,560 registered patients at the Hamza Foundation Welfare Thalassemia Center and Blood Transfusion Services in Peshawar.

Dr. Malik Taimur Ali acknowledged the efforts of the Hamza Foundation as well as the commitment shown by faculty members and students. He said INU remains dedicated to promoting social responsibility, volunteerism, and community welfare, and encouraged students to continue participating in life-saving initiatives that contribute to the broader public good.
