The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has reported that internet services across the country have been disrupted due to a fault in the international submarine cable system.
According to a PTA spokesperson, the fault was detected in the AAE-1 submarine cable, prompting an alert to be issued. The disruption may cause difficulties for internet and broadband users nationwide.
The affected cable is one of the seven submarine cables that connect Pakistan to international internet traffic. Teams are actively working to resolve the issue.
The PTA assured users that it is closely monitoring the situation to ensure swift resolution.
