The impact of reduced interest rates and economic recovery has begun to revive the auto industry, with vehicle sales showing a 27% monthly increase and a 112% annual rise. The Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) has released statistics indicating that a total of 13,108 vehicles were sold in October 2024, compared to 6,180 vehicles sold in October 2023, marking a substantial increase.
According to PAMA, sales of two- and three-wheelers have reached 137,000 units, the highest level in 28 months. Tractor sales also showed a recovery on a monthly basis, with 1,733 tractors sold in October compared to 1,076 in September. In September 2024, 10,297 vehicles were sold. Over the first four months of the fiscal year 2025, vehicle sales have increased by 50%.
A total of 40,693 vehicles were sold in the first four months of fiscal year 2025, compared to 27,163 vehicles sold during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
