The Information Officers Association has warmly welcomed the appointment of Saleem Khan as the Director General of Information. Praising the provincial government’s decision, the Association stated that under the leadership of the newly appointed DG, the Directorate Generalof Information and Public Relations will play a pivotal role in providing timely and accurate information to the public while modernizing its operations to meet contemporary needs.
The Association expressed confidence that Saleem Khan is well-aware of the challenges and grievances faced by the employees of the Directorate General of Information. They hope he will actively address and resolve these issues. Additionally, they anticipate that the new DG will utilize his professional expertise to fulfill the longstanding demand for an information allowance.
Furthermore, Saleem Khan’s extensive experience as a director in addressing the concerns of the journalist community is a significant asset. The Association is optimistic that, as Director General, he will perform his duties with excellence, foster strong communication between the provincial government and the media, and work diligently to resolve journalists’ issues.
