Muzaffarabad: Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Uzair Ahmed Ghazali said that the so-called Republic Day of India will be observed as a black day across Kashmir.
In a statement issued to media, he said that By taking away the freedom and rights of the Kashmiri people, India is trying to prove itself as a democratic country.
He said that protest demonstrations, rallies and processions will be organized throughout Azad Kashmir to observe the so-called Republic Day of India on January 26 as a black day.
He said that India, under the guise of pretending democracy, martyred thousands of innocent citizens in Kashmir, ransacked cities, markets and many settlements.
“The Indian government and its forces have committed war crimes against humanity”, he maintained.
“Thousands of Kashmiri prisoners are still imprisoned in Indian jails for demanding freedom, rights and justice”, he lamented.
“Under the guise of fake democracy, all the basic human rights of the Kashmiri people have been taken away by the darkest black laws POTA,TADA, UAP, PSA and AFSPA”, he added.
Ghazali said that Indian government of Delhi is unsuccessfully trying to teach a lesson of democracy by imposing a million soldiers on Kashmir.
He said that January 26 is like a dark day in Jammu and Kashmir. On this day, the people of both sides of the Cease Fire Line will observe black day and expose the so-called Indian democracy to the world.
Uzair said that on January 26, 2025, Pasban Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Neelum Valley District Headquarters Athmaqam, Tehsil Headquarters Kel, Capital Muzaffarabad, District Jhelum Valley, District Bagh, District Kotli and other cities in connection with Black Day protests.
He appealed to the people of Azad Kashmir, businessmen, lawyers, civil society, especially the youth, to raise their voice of protest against the Indian coercion in their respective places.
He reiterated that Kashmiri will continue the struggle until they get freedom, right to self-determination and justice.
