Rawalpindi — In a decisive response to cross-border militancy, Pakistan Security Forces killed five Indian proxy terrorists during a sanitization operation in Sher Bandi, Kech District (Balochistan). The operation followed an improvised explosive device attack that targeted troops advancing through the area.

As a result, five brave sons of the soil embraced Shahadat in the line of duty. The fallen heroes include Captain Waqar Ahmed (25, District Loralai), Naik Asmat Ullah (35, District Dera Ghazi Khan), Lance Naik Junaid Ahmed (29, District Sukkur), Lance Naik Khan Muhammad (29, District Mardan), and Sepoy Muhammad Zahoor (28, District Swabi).

Immediately after the attack, security forces launched a follow-up operation. They tracked and killed five terrorists affiliated with the Indian proxy group, Fitna Al Hindustan. Troops seized weapons and continued sanitization efforts in the surrounding areas to eliminate any remaining threats.

These coordinated actions reaffirm Pakistan’s unwavering resolve. The sacrifices of our officers and soldiers continue to strengthen national unity and reinforce the commitment to eliminate Indian sponsored terrorism from every corner of the country.

Meanwhile, recent weeks have witnessed intensified counterterrorism operations across Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. On 13 September, Pakistan Army troops neutralized 31 terrorists linked to the Indian-backed group Fitna al Khwarij in two separate intelligence-based operations in Lakki Marwat and Bannu districts. Fourteen militants fell in Lakki Marwat, while seventeen died in Bannu. These operations followed credible intelligence reports and demonstrated tactical precision.

Moreover, in Balochistan, forces have consistently targeted militant hideouts. On 28 May, troops killed four Indian-sponsored terrorists in Loralai District. These individuals had orchestrated deadly attacks on civilians along the N-70 highway. That same week, a clearance mission in Kech District led to the elimination of another terrorist.

ISPR attributed the surge in militant activity to cross-border support originating in Afghanistan. Groups like the TTP continue to receive logistical and financial backing. In response, Pakistan has repeatedly urged Kabul to prevent its soil from being used for attacks against Pakistan.

Currently, security forces maintain a strong presence across sensitive zones. They continue to conduct clearance operations and intelligence-led strikes to dismantle terror networks and restore stability in regions affected by foreign-sponsored militancy.
