Archana Puran Singh, a veteran actress with three decades in the Indian film industry, revealed that she got injured while shooting for a film and fractured her arm.
According to Indian media, Archana shared details of the injury during a vlog on YouTube on Tuesday, and also posted a few highlights on Instagram.
She explained that she was shooting for an upcoming film with actor Rajkummar Rao when she got injured on set and broke her wrist. She was immediately rushed to a hospital in Mumbai where she underwent surgery.
In the vlog, it was shown that Archana fell on set and screamed in pain. Her team rushed to her aid and took her to the hospital, informing her husband, Parmeet Sethi, about the incident.
Indian media reported that after being admitted to the hospital, Archana’s son, Ayushman Sethi, informed his brother, Aryaman Sethi, about the surgery, which made Aryaman worry about his mother’s well-being and he started crying.
In the vlog, Archana mentioned that she didn’t allow her family members to record her video on the first day of the accident because she was very distressed by the injury and the incident.
She added that she called Rajkummar to inform him about the shooting halt, which made her quite upset.
Towards the end of the vlog, Archana was seen discharged from the hospital, reuniting with her husband and children.
Archana said, “You might think I’m fine, but I’ve had major surgery. I’m going back to complete the shoot, I’ll wear full-sleeved clothes, and we’ll shoot in a way that no one will know I’m injured.”
