The Ameer (leader) of Jamaat-e-Islami, Northern Province, Inayatullah Khan, stated that the future of Pakistan’s youth is tied to Information Technology (IT). Unfortunately, the government is destroying this future by frequently slowing down the internet and blocking VPNs. He warned that if the government does not stop slowing down the internet and suppressing political voices, the youth of the country will stand up against the rulers.
He was addressing the inauguration ceremony of IT classes under the “Bano Qabil” program, organized by Alkhidmat Foundation at Riphah International University, Chakdara campus. He said that the world is experiencing a revolution in IT, and if we do not take advantage of this technology, we will be left far behind.Inayatullah Khan highlighted that 2.5 million freelancers face severe challenges due to internet slowdowns, while the Software Association reports a loss of 1.5 billion rupees for every hour of internet disruption. He urged the government to provide high-speed internet and introduce 5G technology.He also mentioned that in Karachi, 47,000 students have already received training under the “Bano Qabil” program, and here, 10,000 young people will be trained in artificial intelligence, graphic design, and e-commerce. Furthermore, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has announced plans to educate one million young people in IT over the next five years.Announcing “Bano Qabil 2” in April, Inayatullah Khan said that the ground in Mingora would be filled with young students. Earlier, he officially inaugurated IT classes for 400 students.Other speakers at the event included Jamaat-e-Islami Northern Province’s Naib Ameer Bakhtiar Mani, General Secretary Haleem Bacha, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed, Head of the Software Engineering Department at Riphah University, Alkhidmat Foundation Assistant Secretary General Fazal Mehmood, District President Hafeezullah Khaksar, “Bano Qabil” Program Incharge Kamran Zareen, Director of Alkhidmat’s Aghosh Program Saeedullah, and Jamaat-e-Islami’s Tehsil Ameer Dr. Bashir Muhammad.The speakers emphasized the importance of the “Bano Qabil” program and encouraged students and youth to make the most of it. On this occasion, Riphah University also presented a shield to Jamaat-e-Islami Provincial Ameer Inayatullah Khan.
