There is no doubt that Pakistan cricket has produced any best batsman in the last decade, it is Babar Azam but his bad form before the last World Cup was not only bothering him nevertheless it was a burden on the squad. He was also falling on the batting line due to which fingers were being raised on his performance, so he was in dire need of rest but the PCP selection committee kept making him a part of the squad so that somehow he could get his form back.
However it could not be done due to which the selection committee has decided to rest him for the second Test against England. Which has proved to be better so far and the young batsman Kamran Ghulam who was added to the team in his place has proved the right choice by scoring a century in the debut match. He has become the thirteenth national batsman who has achieved the honor of scoring a century in his first match.
With the help of his improved batting kept the national batting line-up four away from total destruction once again. In the first session of the second Test, Pakistan lost two wickets for just nineteen runs, after which opener Saim Ayub and Kamran Ghulam saved Pakistan from certain destruction.
It should be remembered that Kamran Ghulam was given the opportunity to debut in the national team for the second test against England, while three spinners have been included to test the English team while Nouman Ali, Sajid Khan and Zahid are in the announced team for the second test. Mehmood has been made a part of the team. Apart from that Amir Jamal, Saim Ayub, Abdullah Shafiq, Shan Masood, Saud Shakeel, Muhammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha are part of the playing XI. Former captain Babar Azam Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah has been dropped from the national team which is being discussed a lot in cricket circles.
The England squad consists of Zac Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Ben Stokes, Jamie Smith, Brayden Carrs, Jack Leach and Shoaib Bashir are included. The second match of the series of three test matches between Pakistan and England is going on in Multan, in which currently Pakistan’s position is good and it has five wickets left.
It should be remembered that in the first test match England beat Pakistan. They were defeated by an innings and 47 runs. If the national cricket team scores around four hundred runs in the first innings, then they can put pressure on England through their Spain attack.
As far as the selection of the national cricket team is concerned, there are still a lot of tests to be done during the ongoing Test match. If he shows good performance in fielding and bowling, then the ambitions of the national cricket team and its management will come forward.
The dilemma of the Pakistan cricket team is being severely criticized at the international level and it is being termed as unfair to blame Babar Azam alone. Former England captain Nasir Hussain has also spoken in favor of Babar Azam. He has said that from the manner in which the Pakistan Cricket Board is being run, more bad performance can be expected. If seen during a short period of time, four PCB chairmen were changed, while the chief selector and coaches are also being changed. It is said that this is not the first time that a star batsman has been dropped from the team, but earlier Javed Miandad and many other players have also been dropped from the team those not only made a comeback but also set great records.
Therefore Babar Azam should not be afraid of this situation and should plan for a comeback. This is only possible if the PCB cooperates with him but if they try to side line Baber then Pakistan will lose a very big player.
On the other hand one positive aspect of Babar Azam being dropped from the team is that Pakistan has got another specialist batsman in the form of Kamran Ghulam with his addition the batting line of the Pakistan cricket team will be strengthened. Now we have to see how the national cricket team comes out of this crisis.
