Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) conducted a rabies awareness session at The Hunar Foundation as part of its Rabies Awareness Campaign 2026 – “Stronger Together for a Rabies-Free Pakistan.”
The session brought together 110 participants, including students, teachers, the principal and faculty members, with a focus on preventing dog bites and ensuring timely medical care after exposure.
Focus on Rabies Prevention and Treatment
Participants were briefed on key measures to prevent rabies, including avoiding dog bites, immediately washing bite wounds and seeking medical attention without delay.
The session also highlighted the importance of Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) following potential exposure to rabies.
The Hunar Foundation joined the campaign to support efforts to increase rabies awareness, promote preventive measures and help protect lives from the potentially fatal disease.
