Mr. Saad Mahmood, Honorary Consul General of Iceland, extended greetings to the people of Iceland on the country’s National Day, observed on June 17.
In his message, Mr. Mahmood said Iceland’s National Day represents the country’s independence, national pride and progress. He noted that the occasion holds significance for Icelandic citizens and friends of Iceland around the world.
Mr. Mahmood said Iceland is widely recognized for innovation, sustainability, resilience and social harmony. He said the country’s focus on development, environmental responsibility and inclusive growth continues to earn international respect.
Referring to Iceland-Pakistan relations, the Honorary Consul General said friendship and cooperation between the two countries were growing. He expressed hope that bilateral ties would continue to strengthen through mutual respect, collaboration and shared goals for peace and prosperity.
“On this joyous occasion, I extend my sincere best wishes to the people of Iceland. May Iceland continue to prosper and achieve greater success in the years ahead,” Mr. Mahmood said.
Iceland’s National Day commemorates the country’s independence and is observed as a symbol of national unity, identity and the enduring spirit of the Icelandic people.
