ICCI Business Conference in Istanbul Opens New Avenues for Pakistan-Türkiye Trade

ISTANBUL: The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has organised a Business Opportunity Conference (BoC) in Istanbul to strengthen trade, investment and private-sector partnerships between Pakistan and Türkiye.

The conference brought together leading Pakistani and Turkish business representatives from various sectors to explore opportunities for joint ventures, investment cooperation, technology transfer and business-to-business (B2B) partnerships.

Pakistan Consul General in Istanbul Khawaja Khurram Naeem attended the conference and engaged with Turkish business leaders, highlighting Pakistan’s growing investment potential and improving business environment.

Addressing participants, ICCI President Sardar Tahir Mehmood presented an overview of investment opportunities in Pakistan, highlighting government initiatives aimed at facilitating investors, promoting exports and improving integration with international markets.

He said stronger private-sector collaboration between Pakistan and Türkiye could help unlock the untapped potential in bilateral economic relations.

A large number of Turkish companies participated in the conference and expressed interest in exploring commercial opportunities in Pakistan.

During an interactive session, ICCI leadership, including former presidents Aamir Waheed Sheikh and Mohammad Ejaz Abbasi, along with Dr. Adeel Sami, Founder and President of the Pakistan–Türkiye Investment & Development Council (PTIDC), discussed possible areas of cooperation with Turkish business representatives.

Business leaders described the Istanbul conference as an important step toward strengthening commercial relations between the two countries, expressing hope that discussions would lead to practical agreements and long-term partnerships.

The conference is part of ICCI’s international outreach strategy to connect Pakistani businesses with global markets and promote Pakistan as an attractive investment destination.

Around 200 ICCI members are currently part of the delegation visiting Istanbul, reflecting the chamber’s efforts to expand private-sector cooperation between Pakistan and Türkiye.

The ICCI delegation will also participate in an International Awards Ceremony in Istanbul, providing further opportunities for networking and business engagement between the two countries’ business communities.
