The ICC has released the new Test players rankings. Among bowlers, Sajid Khan made a remarkable jump of 18 positions, while Nauman Ali also climbed two places to enter the top ten. Jasprit Bumrah remains at the top, and Joe Root leads among batters.
According to the updated rankings from the International Cricket Council, Pakistan’s Nauman Ali has made it into the top ten bowlers. Sajid Khan surged 18 places to secure the 23rd position, while Nauman Ali rose two ranks to claim the 9th spot.
The report states that India’s Jasprit Bumrah continues to lead the Test bowlers, with Australia’s Pat Cummins holding the second position.
Among Test batters, England’s Joe Root holds the top spot, followed by his compatriot Harry Brooks in second place.
As per the new rankings, Pakistan’s former captain Babar Azam has slipped four places to 16th. Meanwhile, Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan have improved their rankings, with Saud at 8th and Rizwan at 18th.
It is worth mentioning that Pakistan defeated the West Indies by 127 runs in the first Test match played in Multan. In that match, all 20 wickets taken by Pakistan were claimed by spinners.
