Ms. Mamuna Fatima, a PhD scholar from the Computer Science Department, will defend her research dissertation titled “A Computer-Aided Diagnosis System for Breast Tumor Classification using Deep Learning” on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 10:00 AM. The defense will take place in the university’s IQBAL Auditorium. The research, supervised by Dr. Saima Shaheen, focuses on leveraging deep learning techniques to improve the accuracy and efficiency of breast tumor classification, potentially leading to significant advancements in the medical diagnostic field. Following this, Mr. Muhammad Mateen Yaqoob, another PhD scholar from the Computer Science Department, will defend his dissertation on Monday, July 08, 2024, at 11:00 AM, also in the IQBAL Auditorium. His research, titled “Federated Learning for Healthcare System,” has been supervised by Dr. Muhammad Nazir. This study explores the implementation of federated learning to enhance healthcare systems, aiming to improve data privacy and collaboration across healthcare institutions.
