Haripur: Deputy Inspector General of Police Hazara Region, Nasir Mahmood Satti, chaired an important online meeting on security and development projects.
DIGs from Gilgit and Astore, AIG Security AJK, DPOs of Abbottabad, Mansehra, and Upper Kohistan, along with SPs of Special Branch Hazara, CTD Hazara, and SSU Hazara, also joined.
The participants discussed development projects in Hazara, Gilgit, and AJK. They reviewed the security of Chinese citizens and other foreigners. They also examined existing measures, improvements, and legal actions against criminals.
DIG Hazara Nasir Mahmood Satti told the meeting that development projects and the protection of Chinese workers remain top priorities for Pakistan.
He stressed joint efforts to ensure no lapses occur.
The DIG also directed officers to strengthen information sharing about the movement of Chinese citizens and other foreigners. Moreover, he added that foolproof security must be in place during their movement to avoid any incident.
He ordered weekly audits of security arrangements around development projects. At the same time, he emphasized joint search operations to remove weaknesses in security.
DIG Satti instructed strict legal action against miscreants. The DIG called for updated lists of criminals and gangs with the help of CTD and Special Branch. These lists, he said, should be shared regularly for effective crackdowns. Furthermore, he instructed officers to improve checkpoints at entry points in every district. Suspicious individuals and vehicles must be thoroughly checked, he said, and all security concerns must be reported to higher officers immediately.
