ABBOTTABAD: The Hazara National Front Pakistan has called for the immediate restoration of gas supply in Hazara Division, expressing concern over prolonged and unannounced disruptions that it says are causing hardship for residents and businesses.

In a statement, Hazara National Front Pakistan Central Chairman Zulqarnain Jadoon and spokesperson Babu Muhammad Bashir alleged that the Sui Gas Department has failed to implement a relevant court decision regarding gas supply and urged authorities to address the issue without delay.

The leaders said domestic consumers, students, senior citizens, and members of the business community have been affected by the continued suspension of gas services despite regularly paying their utility bills.

Demand for immediate action

According to the statement, the ongoing gas outages have created significant difficulties for residents across the region and have disrupted daily life and commercial activities.

The Hazara National Front described the situation as unacceptable and called on the relevant authorities to restore gas supply immediately and provide a long-term solution to the issue.

Protest warning issued

The organization warned that if the matter is not resolved within the next 72 hours, it will launch a public protest campaign against the Sui Gas Department.

The group’s leadership said responsibility for any resulting demonstrations would rest with the concerned authorities if the issue remains unresolved.

No response from the Sui Gas Department was immediately available regarding the allegations or the demands raised by the organization.
