HARIPUR: Torrential rains and landslides have caused disruption in Haripur district, blocking the only road serving Kalilar village in Nara Amazai, Ghazi, and cutting off road access to several nearby villages.

The landslide has also affected Government Primary School Kalilar, while fallen electricity poles have caused a power outage across the area, according to local sources.

Road Blocked After Landslide

The closure of the main access road has left several villages without direct ground connectivity. The disruption has raised concerns about access to essential services, particularly as heavy rain continues in the area.

Residents are facing difficulties reaching and leaving the affected communities following the landslide.

More Landslides Possible

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has warned that continued rainfall could increase the risk of further landslides in vulnerable areas.

Rainfall is still continuing, raising the possibility of additional disruptions in hilly and landslide-prone parts of Haripur.
