LAHORE: Pakistani actor Faysal Quraishi has revealed that actress Hareem Farooq fainted while filming their upcoming Punjabi movie Mango Jatt in Nankana Sahib due to extreme heat. Farooq also reportedly suffered a fever of 103 degrees.

The two actors are currently promoting the film, which presented significant challenges for the cast and crew during its production because of the intense heat.

Faysal Quraishi, who plays Murad Jatt, also known as Mango Jatt, said he decided not to stay at the filming location after experiencing the harsh weather conditions. Instead, he chose to drive approximately an hour and a half each day to reach the set.

Farooq, who serves as both the film’s lead actress and producer, decided to stay at the location. According to Quraishi, her condition deteriorated on the third day, when she fainted.

He explained that filming became difficult in her absence because she was central to the production. The team also had to postpone a scene involving a car until later.

Quraishi added that Farooq was eventually accommodated at the same place where he was staying.

Farooq subsequently confirmed the incident, revealing that she had developed a fever of 103 degrees, which subsided only after she returned to Lahore.

Mango Jatt is scheduled for release in cinemas across Pakistan on October 16.

The film is directed by Ali Sajjad Shah, also known as Abu Aleeha. Its cast includes Shamoon Abbasi, Ayesha Jahanzeb, Qaiser Piya, Honey Albela, Hassan Murad and other performers.
