According to details, Khalid son of Shah Alam and his sister miss Zarwa Bibi were fed poisoned rice, due to which both of them suddenly became ill. Khalid Khan fainted on the spot and later died, while Zarwa Bibi was given immediate medical attention.
As soon as the report was filed, District Police Chief Muhammad Khalid Khan PSP formed a special team under the supervision of SHO City Fayyaz Khan along with DSP City Amjad Khan and handed over the inquiry to ASI Waheed Noor Khan to investigate the matter. Modern technology and scientific research methods and forensic analysis were used during the investigation. Preliminary evidence showed that the rice had been contaminated with toxic substances. The police interrogated the suspects and gathered facts.
