Haji Amin Hussain Babar elected unopposed president of KP Jewelers Association

PESHAWAR: Haji Amin Hussain Babar has been elected unopposed as president of the Sarafa Zargaran, Gems, Jewelers, Traders, and Exporters Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while Haji Fayyaz Durrani was elected unopposed as general secretary.

The announcement was made by the association’s Election Commission, led by Chief Election Commissioner Haji Meher Ali along with commission members Noman Bangash, Tauseef Ishtiaq, Haji Nisar Khalil, Syed Sada Qayyum, Noorzada, Fida Muhammad, and Shah Wazir.

According to former Information Secretary Shahid Khan, no opposing candidate or group submitted nomination papers or collected election forms, resulting in the unopposed election of both office-bearers.

Election reflects unity within jeweler community

The Election Commission described the uncontested election as a reflection of unity and confidence within the jeweler community of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Haji Amin Hussain Babar is considered a prominent figure in the jewelry and trading sector and has previously served as president of the association. Members of the association credited his earlier tenure with initiatives focused on the welfare and representation of jewelers across the province.

Speaking after his election, Haji Amin Hussain Babar thanked members of the community for their trust and pledged to work on addressing issues faced by jewelers and traders in the province.

“We will take all necessary steps to resolve the challenges facing our community,” he said.
