SWAT: A remarkable event took place as old students of Khpal Kor Foundation gathered at Khpal Kor Village in Sherarai. The occasion brought together former students to celebrate their shared roots, relive cherished memories of their school and hostel days, and witness the inspiring progress of the foundation.
During the event, the old students were given a special tour of the under-construction Khpal Kor Nursing and Health Sciences College, a beacon of hope and progress for orphaned children and the region at large. They explored the state-of-the-art facilities, including a grand auditorium and a beautiful mosque, both designed to support the academic and spiritual needs of future students.
Director of Khpal Kor Foundation, Muhammad Ali, affectionately known as the father of hundreds of orphans in Malakand Division, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, briefed the old students on the various projects being implemented under the foundation’s banner. He highlighted that the nursing college aims to serve both the orphan and community students, with an enrollment ratio of 60% orphans and 40% community students.
Director Muhammad Ali emphasized the foundation’s commitment to making education accessible. For community students, the tuition fees will cover the complete operational costs, including the salaries of the nursing college staff. This innovative model ensures sustainability while fostering inclusivity and empowerment in the region.
Ihsan Ali, a former student of Khpal Kor Foundation and now a successful professional, shared his heartfelt thoughts about the gathering:
