Government Girls Degree College No. 2 Mandian Abbottabad is facing problems, female students and female staff are facing problems, provincial government is helpless, tight, coming and going, provincial government and relevant institutions should take notice before protesting. According to alleged sources, the severe lack of facilities in Government Girls Degree College No. 2 Abbottabad has badly affected the educational activities of the students. Due to lack of space, the gate of the boys’ college is facing this side, the curtain is affected, there is a drain in front of the girls’ college, where the risks of vehicles falling while coming out have increased. According to alleged sources, the issue of lack of space took a serious turn when it was revealed that in the unfair distribution of 155 kanals of land allocated for the college in 1995, 128 kanals of land were given to the boys’ college, while only the remaining space was left for the girls’ college. In principle, both the institutions were to be given 50-50 percent of the land. Due to lack of space in the Girls College, neither a playground nor other necessary facilities are available. The increasing number of female students has made this problem even more serious. In this serious situation, the Girls College Principal has requested the Higher Education Department to give 5 kanals of land adjacent to the Boys College to the Girls College, so that at least one playground or additional educational block can be constructed. The Higher Education Department has taken immediate notice and issued orders to take action on it.

Meanwhile, former Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani has also justified the demand of the Girls College and supported practical steps on it. However, there has been alleged resistance in this matter from the principal of the boys’ college, and the construction of a multimedia hall has allegedly been started by the boys’ college administration at the place where the demand has been made, which is a blatant violation of the orders of the Higher Education Commission. If the demands of the girls’ college are not implemented immediately, the female students have reserved their right to protest and have indicated that they will come to the streets. The concerned authorities are appealed to take serious notice of this matter, so that equal and equal facilities for education can be provided to the girls. The district administration of Abbottabad should also take notice so that there is no problem of law and order and the veiled female students are not forced to protest on the streets instead of the classroom.
