KARACHI: Gold and silver prices increased in both global and local markets on Monday, pushing domestic bullion rates higher at the start of the business week.
In the international bullion market, the gold price rose to $4,202 per ounce.
Following the increase in global rates, the price of gold in local bullion markets rose by Rs4,643 per tola to reach Rs442,636. The price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs4,179, reaching Rs378,345.
Silver prices also moved upward in the international market. The price of silver per ounce increased by $1.89 to reach $66.71.
As a result, the price of silver in local bullion markets increased by Rs189 per tola to reach Rs7,151, while the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs170 to reach Rs6,079.
