KARACHI, May 20: Gold prices in Pakistan fell sharply on Wednesday, following a decline in the international bullion market, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola dropped by Rs6,800 in the local market and settled at Rs470,362. The decline is important for buyers, jewellers and investors tracking daily bullion rates.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also decreased by Rs5,830 to Rs403,259.
In the international market, gold fell by $68 per ounce and was recorded at $4,480 per ounce.
Silver prices also declined in Pakistan. The price of 24-karat silver per tola dropped by Rs125 to Rs7,974.
