Gold prices fall in Pakistan as per tola rate drops by Rs400

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan declined on Sunday, with the price of 24-karat gold falling by Rs400 per tola amid a slight drop in international bullion markets.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the new price of gold per tola settled at Rs493,662 in local markets.

The association also said the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs343 to Rs423,235.

Silver prices also recorded a decline, with per tola silver falling by Rs12 to Rs8,513.

International gold market sees slight decline

In the international market, gold prices slipped by $4 per ounce, taking the global rate to $4,713 per ounce.

Gold prices in Pakistan usually move in line with international market trends and fluctuations in the value of the rupee against foreign currencies.

The bullion market has remained volatile in recent weeks due to uncertainty in global financial markets and changing investor demand.
