Gold Price in Pakistan Drops Rs3,500 on Thursday, August 27, 2026

KARACHI: Gold prices declined in both international and Pakistani markets on Thursday, August 27, 2026, while silver moved higher in the local bullion market.

In the international market, gold fell by $35 per ounce, bringing the new rate down to $4,605 per ounce.

Following the global decline, the price of 24-karat gold in Pakistan dropped by Rs3,500 per tola to Rs483,036.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs3,001 to Rs414,125.

Silver, however, moved in the opposite direction.

The price of silver increased by Rs50 per tola to Rs7,329, while the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs43 to Rs6,283.

Gold rates in Pakistan generally take direction from international bullion prices, while movements in the rupee-dollar exchange rate and local market conditions can also influence domestic prices.

The latest rates for Thursday, August 27, 2026, showed a notable decline in gold prices but continued strength in silver, giving buyers and investors contrasting signals across the two precious metals markets.
