Gold dips in Pakistan as silver prices jump in local market

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a slight decline, while silver saw a sharp increase in the local bullion market, reflecting mixed trends in precious metals.

The gold price in Pakistan fell by Rs200 per tola to Rs483,762, while the rate for 10 grams decreased by Rs172 to Rs414,747. The change aligns with minor fluctuations in international markets, where gold slipped by $2 per ounce to $4,614.

In contrast, silver prices moved higher, rising by Rs193 per tola to reach Rs8,014 in the domestic market.

The contrasting movement highlights short-term volatility in precious metals, with gold showing a modest correction and silver gaining momentum in local trading.
