Global academic exposure is no longer an option ,it is a necessity for our students,” says Vice Chancellor of Women University Swabi, Prof. Dr. Ghazala Yasmin
Women University Swabi (WUS) has taken a significant step toward fostering international academic collaboration by holding a virtual meeting with Charisma University, USA. On this occasion, the university’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ghazala Yasmin, emphasized that “global academic exposure is no longer an option for students, but a necessity.”
Representing WUS in the meeting were Vice Chancellor Dr. Ghazala Yasmin and Mr. Syed Jazib Shamim, Deputy Director of ORIC, while Dr. Stuart Trevor, Head of Academic (Asian Region Business Collaboration), represented Charisma University.
During the meeting, both institutions discussed the launch of joint academic programs, with special focus on initiating a collaborative MBA program tailored for female students. They also explored opportunities for WUS students to pursue further education at Charisma University’s campuses in the USA and Malaysia.
Dr. Ghazala Yasmin highlighted the importance of making international education accessible for students from remote regions like Swabi, and requested a subsidized fee package for WUS students. In response, Dr. Stuart Trevor appreciated the proposal and agreed in principle to offer financial concessions for deserving students.
The discussion also included an overview of WUS’s academic programs, quality assurance mechanisms, and inter-university linkages. Mr. Syed Jazib Shamim briefed Charisma University representatives about the university’s history, objectives, and academic development plans.
The meeting concluded with a mutual understanding to formalize the proposed collaboration in the near future. This partnership is expected to pave the way for international linkages, student and faculty exchanges, and enhanced academic growth at Women University Swabi.
