Glacier Burst Hits Kalam, Three Climbers Injured, One Missing

A glacier burst in the Matiltan area of Kalam, Swat, injured three mountaineers and left one missing, prompting an ongoing search and rescue operation by Rescue 1122.

According to rescue officials, a group of seven climbers heading towards the base camp of Chhota K2 was caught in the glacier incident. Three climbers from Rawalpindi sustained injuries and were shifted to Saidu Sharif Hospital after receiving initial medical treatment.

Rescue Teams Continue Search For Missing Mountaineer

Authorities said three other climbers remained safe, while renowned mountaineer Syed Ali Shah from Khwazakhela is still missing. Rescue 1122 teams are continuing search efforts in the mountainous area.

Officials said rescue operations are being carried out under difficult conditions due to rugged terrain, but all available resources are being used to locate the missing climber.
