German citizen has set a world record for staying underwater for 120 days

According to foreign media reports, 59-year-old German aerospace engineer Rüdiger Koch has set a world record by staying submerged for 120 days. He achieved this record in the presence of Susanna Reyes, a judge from Guinness World Records.

Susanna Reyes confirmed that Rüdiger Koch moved into a 320-square-foot capsule beneath the sea in the Puerto Lindo area of Panama on September 26. He emerged after completing 120 days on January 24.

Previously, this record was held by American citizen Joseph Dettori, who spent 100 days underwater in a lake in Florida.
