RAWALPINDI — General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI, NI (M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), met General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Chief of Army Staff of the Bangladesh Army, at the Army Headquarters in Dhaka during his official visit to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), both sides appreciated the positive trajectory of growing defence cooperation between Pakistan and Bangladesh and agreed to continue regular exchanges at various levels of military leadership.
The meeting included discussions on the evolving global and regional security environment, with an emphasis on strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas such as military training, joint exercises, and counterterrorism efforts.
Both military leaders also addressed the challenges posed by misinformation and divisive narratives on digital platforms, recognizing them as a shared concern. They reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing coordination and joint efforts to effectively counter such emerging threats.
