G.M. Bashir Wins Asian Games Bronze

NAGOYA: Pakistani shooter G.M. Bashir won another medal for Pakistan at the Asian Games 2026, securing a bronze medal in the 25-metre rapid-fire pistol event.

Bashir was competing in the shooting competitions and stood eighth after the first day of the qualification round ahead of the medal stage.

He improved his performance on the second day, finishing sixth overall to qualify for the medal round.

The Pakistani shooter continued his strong showing in the medal round, securing third place with a total of 22 points to claim the bronze medal.

With Bashir’s achievement, Pakistan’s overall medal tally at the Asian Games rose to six.

Bashir, who has represented Pakistan at three Olympic Games, had previously won a bronze medal for the country at the 2022 World Championship.

His latest achievement adds another international medal to his shooting career and contributes to Pakistan’s medal haul at the ongoing Asian Games.
