Dr. Faizullah Jan, Chairman of the Journalism Department at Peshawar University, expressed gratitude to Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for organizing a one-day workshop aimed at enhancing the skills of journalism students. He highlighted the importance of such sessions for students’ development in critical thinking and responsible digital engagement.
The workshop, held at the Journalism Department, was attended by students from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication. Dr. Naazer Mehmood from FES and Burhanul Haq from UNDP led training sessions on topics such as responsible digital behavior, career development, and the effective use of social and digital media to prevent misuse of online platforms. Program Advisor Sidra Saeed from FES Pakistan and a representative from UNDP were also present.
Throughout the workshop, students engaged in discussions on critical thinking and digital media, appreciating the opportunity to interact with experts. At the conclusion, they thanked Dr. Faizullah Jan for facilitating the event and requested more such training sessions in the future. Dr. Faizullah Jan reiterated his commitment to organizing similar initiatives to support students in their professional growth.
